Chris Ekrut has provided consulting services since 2004. The majority of his client-related projects have focused on pricing services, developing rates and fees for utility systems, and supporting clients before regulatory agencies.

Chris' reputation as a recognized expert witness is a testament to his deep understanding of cost of service and rate design. His litigation support and regulatory filing assistance before rate regulatory agencies have been instrumental in numerous cases. He has also played a pivotal role in wholesale and retail water and wastewater rate studies, utility rate and fee model development, and negotiations and litigation involving wholesale service contracts. Chris teaches the national "Fundamentals of Water Cost of Service and Rate Design" class sponsored by EUCI and is on the Faculty of the National Association of Regulatory Commissioners (NARUC) Rate School.
